Sometimes work is truly a pleasure and it becomes the envy of your peers. This was one of those occasions. Imagine spending days, weeks and months shopping at the best fabric, design and interior decorations stores. On top of this, add lots of chocolate, gourmet foods, wines and all things kosher. This was the due diligence and research required to create this lovely perfection of a chocolate coffee lounge. What's in a name? A lot of work!


  • Step 1: Define the customer, the concept, the market.
  • Step 2: Create a vocabulary and a dictionary of adjectives and nouns in various languages that could easily translate into merchandising.
  • Step 3: Conceive 50 different brand identity/name equivalents with relevant URL and trademark search.
  • Step 4: Research and compile concept boards and mood boards for physical restaurants.
  • Step 5: Assist client and architecture firm with creative direction.
  • Step 6: Product development (research competitors, identify private labeling opportunities, host tastings, surveys and create food & beverage menu).
  • Step 7: Focus groups and concept testing.
  • Step 8: Final creative/final product – watch them build it!
